Thing Thin! Twenty Strategies To Help You

How you think about yourself will ultimately determine your success in losing weight. If you can envision yourself as a thinner healthier you, you will be on the road to accomplishing that goal.

All experts agree that having the right attitude with the proper vision at the onset can help you literally think yourself thin. Think about cutting or shrinking the fat in your mind, and this will lead to cutting the fat from your waistline. Let’s talk about some ideas on how to do this.

Strategies to Help You Think Thin

1. Evaluate the patterns and habits in your life that you are embracing that get in the way of you losing weight. What are your eating habits now and what should they be? Are you exercising every day to lose the weight? What motivational patterns have you engrained in your life to help give you rewards when you succeed?

“Even if you’re on the right track, you won’t get anywhere if you’re standing still.” Will Rogers

2. Stop yourself from making excuses about your lifestyle. Everyone has his or her own excuses. You can always think of an excuse that will sabotage you improving your lifestyle. If you allow yourself to surrender to your own excuses for failure, you will surely not succeed. Don’t allow your mind to rationalize poor results. Always think of positive action and you will persevere.

“Whatever your mind can conceive and believe; it CAN achieve.” Author unknown

3. Don’t allow outside circumstances change your thinking and determination to succeed in losing weight and becoming healthier. There is always something in a person’s life that can give you set-backs. “Stuff” happens — whether it’s stress at work, family pressures, or thousands of other possibilities. Whatever you are experiencing in your personal life, keep thinking that your positive self-confidence will overcome any obstacles to allow you to be successful.

“Too many people let others stand in their way and don’t go back for one more try.” RM Kantor

4. Identify and deal with the stresses and pressure around you and move on with your life. Don’t allow yourself to wallow in self piety. You don’t have to be a victim of the circumstances that surround you. Be a victor and succeed in accomplishing your goals.

“We are called to be architects of the future, not its victims.” Buckmister Fuller

5. Think of weight-loss as a change you want to do for your body. If you think you can lose those 20 pounds on the True HCG diet in six weeks and then don’t change your life, you are setting yourself up for failure. Make a mental mindset of changing the way you eat and your activities long term. You will be able to maintain your weight loss if you picture yourself achieving this goal.

“It takes time to succeed because success is merely the natural reward of taking time to do anything well.” Joseph Ross

6. Realize the image society has created for us of “Quick weight-loss.” Our instant-gratification society has created the thought that it’s okay to wanting too much, too fast. We have instant internet information, instant messaging, instant mobile communications, instant view digital cameras, etc. Our True HCG Diet can help you lose 20 pounds per course of six weeks, which is sort of an instant weight-loss. It does this by changing your metabolism so your body is forced to burn your fat for fuel in the face of a very low calorie diet. Utilize this power to lose your weight fast. Once lost, embrace the lifestyle changes we encourage so you can keep it off for a long time.

7. The True HCG Diet is a quick weight-loss program that usually results in around 20 pounds in six weeks. Doing several courses of these can help you lose 60, 80 or 100 pounds if you keep doing them. You eat protein and maintain your muscle mass while burning the fat. The vegetables and fruits help prevent problems that may occur. However, to make sure the program is safe, you should always be monitored by a qualified physician, such as our Associate Physicians for the HCG True Diet.

8. Think an energized body. Exercising will help boost your metabolism and help you to burn the fat. You need appropriate amounts of foods to maintain this energy boost. After using HCG, as you increase gradually the foods you eat, be careful to not eat excessively. Monitor your eating habits so you eat adequately to maintain your energy and muscle development, but not so much that you gain excess fat weight again. If you exercise vigorously, you may need to eat at least your BMR to keep your body energized.

“If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right.” Mary Kay Ash

9. Get rid of that overweight mentality. Picture yourself as thin. If you have them, post on your refrigerator old photographs of you when you were thinner. They can help reminder you of that thinner you goal you are working toward. You do have the power to sustain a new lifestyle if you keep a mental mind focused on this.

“Whatever your mind can conceive and believe; it CAN achieve.”

10. Create a mindset for achieving small goals. Baby steps and persistence will work better than fast and instant gratification. Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare. They both crossed the finish line at around the same time, but persistence won the race. We all know that change is hard and it is especially difficult if you try to make too many changes too fast. Start small and gradually make lifestyle improvements

11. Make a list of the goals you want to achieve and write them down. List them on paper to see them. These mini-goals are things that will improve your lifestyle by creating a positive mindset for you to succeed. These may include eating more fruits and vegetables and fitting at least 30 minutes of exercise in your life schedule every day. Give yourself goals to help you change your habits and improve you health. The options are endless.

“You don’t just luck into things as much as you’d like to think you do. You build step by step, whether it’s friendships or opportunities.” Barbara Bush

12. Surround yourself with positive support. We all require personal support, especially during the tough times. Connect with others, such as a friend or family member. Create a positive atmosphere with people that want to help each other succeed. All studies show that people who connect with others, whether in person or online, do better than dieters who try to do it alone.

13. Create a detailed plan of action to succeed. Every night or every morning, plan your healthy meals and schedule your times to fit exercise in your life. Believe it or not, planning ahead is 80% of the battle. You wouldn’t go into battle without a plan of action; so do the same with your life. Create a success plan and equip yourself properly. Then follow through with it and success will follow.

“There is no more liberating, no more exhilarating experience than to determine one’s position, state it bravely, and then to act BOLDLY.” Eleanor Roosevelt

14. Think of your life schedule like you would think of appointments at work. Schedule yourself for times to exercise. Write down the tasks you need to do of buying fruits, vegetables, lean meats, whole grain foods and low fat dairy products. Write down your meal plans. Make lifestyle changes a priority and they will become habits.

15. Reward yourself when you achieve your baby steps of success. Recognize and make a mental picture in your mind of yourself 25 pounds thinner, more muscular, with a better shape, or however you want to picture your successes. Its hard work getting thinner, and you should celebrate your successes at becoming healthier. You will feel proud of yourself when people start to notice. Many times, they will ask you, “How’d you do it?” You can tell them about the HCG True Diet and refer them to your local Associate Physician so they can be successful too.

16. Throw away old unhealthy habits and embrace your new lifestyle. You cannot continue to eat excessively and not exercise if you want to lose weight. Over time you will be able to identify your behaviors that lead to weight gain and convert them into weight-losing habits. Doing so with little steps enables you to do this gradually without feeling deprived.

“Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes of which all men have some.” Charles Dickens

17. Eliminate high fat and high carbohydrate, tempting, empty-calorie foods. Don’t buy them and don’t put them in your kitchen. Replace them with healthier food options, such as more raw fruits and vegetables.

“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” Robert Collier

18. Teach your children healthy eating habits and don’t allow them to teach you bad ones. Many people rationalize that they must buy food and cook food for their children (or spouse) that is not the healthy variety. Ask yourself, “Who’s the parent here? Who’s supposed to be teaching better lifestyle habits?” Teaching children to become fat by not feeding them healthy foods is as unhealthy as not getting them vaccinating. Teach them when they’re young to eat healthy and exercise regularly for their lifetime, and you both will be healthier. Think better health, for you and for them.

“By helping others you help yourself.” Zig Zeglar

19. Keep track of you success so you can envision your progress in your mind. Weigh in regularly and record your weight on your measurements. On our Measurements Tracking Journal, you can plot and see your progress graphed. If you can visualize your progress, you can see why you are so proud of yourself for succeeding. Take picture of yourself over the time periods so you can see these also.

All studies show that keeping track of your weight and other measurements helps promote positive behaviors. Moreover, these help you realize the unhealthy behaviors your had been doing. Diaries are a form of accountability to yourself. When you are accountable, even to yourself, you are less likely to go back to old unhealthy habits and more likely to make a priority of new healthy habits.

“We must be the change we wish to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandhi

20. Always remember, YOU HAVE THE POWER! Picture in your mind you, as a person who is in control of h/herself, because you have that power to succeed. To use an old cliché, “Release the Giant Within!” Get rid of that overweight mentality and picture yourself as thin. Visualize your future self, say six months to a year later, and think of how good you’ll look and feel without the extra pounds. Think of how strong and healthy you will become if you make a priority of eating correctly and exercising regularly.

“The only thing standing in the way of your success is you-your beliefs about what is possible, your attitude towards yourself, and your desire to achieve what you really want. You are the only barrier that is keeping your dreams at bay.” Mark Victor Hanson

Break those old habits. Envision yourself with a positive image of a new you. Make your health a priority by building your healthy body to increase the quality, and the length of your life. Ultimately, when you make them a priority, these healthy behaviors will become a routine part of your life.
