Mission Statement:
Thirty years ago my mother visited me in
Pittsburgh while my life was immersed in my fifth of six years of
General and Vascular Surgical Residency. As I was recounting the work
of a busy weekend and that there seemed to be too few hours in the
days to meet the needs of those for whom I was responsible my mother
said; Don't worry, your patients don't care how much you know
until they know how much you care. Three weeks ago a patient turned
to me as she was leaving our office and said "you and your staff
are the most caring individuals I have ever met in a physician's
office. At that instant my mother's words reverberated in my
memory and I got that body chill that makes our hairs stand at
attention. In that moment I knew we were successful for one reason;
WE CARE.
Bio of MD:
Richard Davis, MD. is Board Certified & a Diplomat of the
American Board of Surgery, A Fellow of the American College of
Surgeons, an Honorary Member of the Royal Academy of Surgeons of Great
Britian, a Memmber of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, a
Member of the American College of Phlebology and a Member of the
American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. For the last 26 years
he has been a leader in development of minimally invasive techniques
in both General & Vascular Surgery and a leader in Diagnosis,
Treatment and Reconstructive Surgery relative to Breast Disease. Dr.
Davis has been certified in Laser technology since 1989 and has been
active in the development of percutaneous liposuction procedures since
the early 1990's. Now he has limited his practice to Office based
treatment of Vein Disorders and minimally invasive Cosmetic Medicine
and Surgery.
