HCG diet friendly appetizers you can enjoy

When you want to lose weight and put yourself on a diet, finding the right kind of food can prove to be quite a task. A lot of obese women and men who follow HCG weight loss diet face this dilemma as well. They need to eat carefully so that daily calorie consumption never exceeds mark of 500. In fact, there are some snacks and appetizers which HCG followers can eat without any problem. Just because you are dieting it does not mean, you will not feel hunger pangs or sudden cravings for food. In such times, try out the following low fat dishes.

Yakima Apple Coleslaw

To make this HCG friendly appetizer, you will need half of a cabbage, diced small apple, apple cider vinegar and lime juice. Besides, you will have to use ingredients like garlic powder, mustard powder, pepper and salt. You will have to use some stevia as well. To make the dish, slice the cabbage into very thin strips. Mix it well with other ingredients. Then allow it to marinate for one hour or more. Then add the apple and some cinnamon before serving.

Cold Curried Chicken Salad
To make this yummy dish, you will need diced chicken 100 grams, celery, lemon juice and a small apple, also diced. You will also need to use ingredients like water, finely minced onion, crushed garlic, cinnamon and turmeric. Cayenne pepper, garlic and onion powder will also be required. To cook, sauté the chicken pieces in a sauce pan in lime juice. Sauté till the pieces get a brownish hue. Then add spice sand water into the chicken. This needs to be stirred slowly and simmered for some time. The liquid should thicken and form gravy and chicken will become soft. Allow the cooked chicken to cool own. Now, add chopped celery and apple on top of it and serve. This actually can be treated as a complete meal, not just a side dish.

Spice and Nice Crab Salad

To make this delicious dish, you will have to use 100 grams of crab. Other ingredients for cooking are finely minced red onions, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and diced celery. Apart from these, you will also have to use onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt. First of all, boil the crab well and then chop it in mid sized pieces. Blend it nicely with spices, liquid and onion. Keep it marinated for 20 minutes or so and then serve with diced celery as topping.

HCG Shrimp Scampi
This is one shrimp dish you can enjoy both cold or hot. You will need 100 grams shrimp, lemon, minced garlic, 1 cup spinach. Apart from these, you will also need to use chicken broth, dried oregano and basil, cayenne pepper, black pepper etc. To make the dish, mix shrimp with water or chicken broth, garlic and lemon juice. Then put this mixture in a pan and put it on stove. You will have to cook it for 5 minutes or so. Cook till the shrimp turns pinkish. When you cook, sprinkle basil, salt, cayenne pepper and oregano on shrimp and stir the mix well. When everything blends well, let it cool for a few minutes. Place the shrimp on spinach. Sprinkle pepper and left over lemon juice on entire dish. Serve it hot or cold as you wish.
