HCG Diet-Food Plan


HCG True Diet is a method of extracting the excess calories from your abnormal fat reserves that contribute towards your being overweight. Not only are these calories burnt but are discharged in the blood making you feel fine and energetic throughout the day. This also helps reduce appetite and is therefore a proven and an effective weight loss program.

The HCG True Diet plan usually comes in four phases:-

Phase 1:- this is the loading phase where one starts using HCG either by cream or through injections. This phase mainly lasts for three days and during this period one is allowed to eat whatever they desire, no matter how much calorie the food contains.

Phase 2:- this is the period when one intakes not more than 500 calories. During this phase the diet is divided into 2 meals of 250 calories each. This diet is devoid of any starch, fat and sugar. This phase must be continued for six long weeks with sheer dedication and commitment. Physical activities like exercise can be started from the second week itself.

During breakfast, tea or coffee can be consumed but strictly without sugar and even no calorie sweeteners. Milk also can be taken only 1 tablespoon during a day.

At lunch, as a part of the protein food, 100 grams of veal, beef, fresh white fish, lobster, crab or shrimp can be taken. It must be noted that all visible fats are removed before cooking and all meat must be weighed raw. These foods can be baked, boiled or grilled but none of these should be breaded and fried.

Among vegetables, only spinach, chard, chicory, beet greens, green beans, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus and cabbage can be had. Of all the fruits available, only an orange or apple, very few strawberries or one half grapefruit are allowed. Apart from all these, one breadstick or one Melba toast is allowed.

Dietary recommendations for dinner are no different from lunch. Apart from this, some important facts that must be kept in mind while doing this diet program are:-

  • Only lemon juice is allowed for every purpose.
  • For seasoning, salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard power, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram, etc can be used.
  • No butter, oil or any added calorie containing dressings to be used. Fat or calorie free dressings like Walden Farms Dressings can be used.
  • Drinks can be taken at any time and in any quantity but make sure that they contain no sugar and these drinks include tea, coffee, plain water, crystal light, diet sodas and mineral water. At least 6-8 glasses of water should be taken in a day.

 

Phase 3:- this phase is generally known as the transition phase. After continuing HCG for a stretch of almost 40 days, your body tends to develop resistance towards HCG. Thus during this period HCG becomes less effective and therefore in this period, HCG must be discontinued for around six weeks. After putting a break to HCG for almost two weeks, you can gradually introduce more starch and carbs into your diet.

During this period, it is very important to weigh yourself daily and in case you increase more than 1-2 pounds, you should immediately start watching your diet. Once you restrict your calorie intake, you must immediately take a high protein food in the next meal. It is during this time that you must indulge more and more in physical exercise and activities.

Phase 4:- this is the phase for making permanent lifestyle changes. If you have achieved your desired results and have lost the weight that you were looking for, then you can proceed to long term weight loss management by bringing about permanent lifestyle changes.

On the other hand, if you have not been able to experience a success in your weight loss endeavors, you are free to do another course of the program. In fact you can do the program as many times you want to. People mostly achieve their goals in one or two courses but it is true that people and their adaptabilities vary, so something cannot create a similar effect on everyone.

Therefore, follow these four phases religiously and be focused and determined about your goals. Then you are definitely about to achieve success.
