Five Tips to Break a HCG Diet Plateau

What is a HCG diet plateau? What happens during this? Is it a serious something? Many a times, the regular weight loss stalls during the second phase of the diet. When you are on the diet, and you get accustomed to a daily loss of approximately 1 pound, it is difficult to handle this stall.

The diet plateau may occur due to certain physiological reasons. You need to understand that it is not magic; and this plateau lasts for 4-6 days only. However, many feel depressed in such a state. How do you overcome this? What do you do?

Here are five possible solutions, apart from the hugely popular Apple Day, to overcome this problematic phase.

Increase your water intake. This need not be plain water only. Opt for other fluid variants like green tea, flavored tea, coffee, and so on. However, make sure you adhere to the HCG diet guidelines when preparing these drinks.

Know when to mix and match. Do not opt for the same fruits in a day – if you get an apple for the lunchtime, opt for another fruit for snacking. Do not get more than one vegetable in your meals either.

Opt for fiber supplement in case of irregular bowel movements. If you are experiencing trouble in this regard, consider talking to your HCG diet doctor to know which supplement would solve this.

Ensure that you get adequate sleep. Sleep deprivation may bring about physiological disturbances that hamper weight loss. Make sure you get to bed early, have a good night’s sleep (8 hours and more) and get out early.

Incorporate light exercises in your routine. Rigorous exercising is not a good idea when you are on the HCG diet. However, you may incorporate certain light exercises to stay fit. Just make sure not to overexert yourself.
