Typical meal plan for HCG diet Phase 2

When you are working on getting rid of body fat with the use of HCG diet, you need to have a clear idea about what you need to eat during the different phases of the plan. After the end of the ‘Gorge Days’, i.e. the first phase, comes the HCG diet Phase 2. This is the time to introduce the ‘Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD)’ in your daily routine.

Meal Plan for HCG Diet Phase 2

What exactly is this VLCD? It is just what the name suggests – a diet comprising approximately 500 calories in a single day. How do you plan such a dietary meal? Take help from your HCG diet doctor to know what to eat and what to avoid. He/she would be able to make the diet chart suitable for you.

Usually, Phase 2 of HCG diet involves the following routine.

For breakfast, you may have tea or coffee with one tablespoonful of milk (that is all the milk you get in a day) and no sugar. You may use sugar substitutes instead.

For lunch and dinner, you may choose one among the following in each group:

Protein (100 grams) – veal, fresh white fish, beef, crab, chicken breast, lobster, or shrimp

Vegetable – spinach, chicory, chard, beet-greens, tomatoes, green salad, celery, red radishes, fennel, onions, asparagus, cucumbers, cabbage

Carbohydrate – Melba toast or breadstick

For snack, you may have any of the fruits – an orange, apple, or one-half grapefruit, or a handful of strawberries.

If you think this is way too limited, concentrate on the results the HCG diet plan is going to give you. How do you make sure that the meal plan for this phase does not get boring? It is easy – just buy a recipe booklet, or ask fellow dieters for interesting recipes within the scope of this diet. You are sure to find HCG recipes that are the perfect combination of health and taste for this phase.
