Baked fish with dill – a foil wrapped fresh fish baked in the oven can be quite bland. Just drizzle with a little lemon juice and add a few lemon rinds along with salt, pepper and dill, and you have a gourmet dish.

Beef with onions and grapefruit – simmering beef in a little water and adding stir-fried onions and grapefruit pieces gets a completely new dimension when you toss it with the right seasonings.

Fish with herbs – put a portion of white fish along with salt, pepper, thyme, basil and oregano. Drizzle with lemon juice. Add broccoli and tomato. Simmer until the tomato and herbs mix together to create a colorful sauce.

Veal in spicy concoction – simmer veal and apples in spicy tea until well cooked. You can add a zing to this recipe with salt, pepper and herbs. Place this mix on a bed of lettuce and enjoy the flavors.

The seasonings you may use during your diet include salt, pepper, mustard powder, vinegar, garlic, parsley, sweet basil, thyme, marjoram, and so on. You may also use lemon juice to add a tangy flavor to an otherwise bland dish. Being on diet does not mean eating tasteless food; it is about getting a slim figure, not about punishing yourself.
